I knew early on that I wanted to become a doctor. My father worked in the medical field, and I spent a lot of time playing with a stethoscope, bandages and ‘patient files’. By the age of ten my career choice was settled: dentist. The path there was demanding — I sat my final state exams when my daughter was just one month old. For my graduation work I received a prize of €500, which back then was very practically invested in nappies.

My connection to medicine has been with me since childhood. My interest in this profession was shaped within our family, and dentistry in particular impressed me early on through its combination of precision, knowledge, and the opportunity to help people directly. To this day, I appreciate how individual each person and each treatment path is. For me, a trusting relationship, my patients' sense of well-being, and attentiveness are at the heart of my work.

As a child, I was very afraid of dentists. But then I met a doctor who treated me with so much calm and understanding that, for the first time, I left the practice feeling good. It was precisely this moment that shaped my wish to become a dentist myself. Today, it is especially important to me that my patients feel safe, understood, and well looked after. For me, dentistry means not only treatment, but also trust, calm, and an honest smile after the appointment.

I particularly value my profession because dentistry combines precision, human connection, and continuous development. Every person brings their own wishes and needs. That is exactly what makes each treatment individual and unique. What matters most to me is a form of treatment in which my patients feel well cared for and understood. With attentiveness, care, and a calm manner, I want to create an atmosphere in which trust and well-being are a matter of course.
